ISCC+ Certification
Selle Royal Group is pleased to announce that it has obtained ISCC+ (International Sustainability and Carbon Certification), an internationally recognized certification that validates the traceability and sustainability of raw materials throughout the entire supply chain.
The adoption of this certification represents another tangible step toward sustainability, with key products in the Selle Royal brand portfolio incorporating ISCC+ certified polymers made from renewable feedstocks and fossil-based materials combined through the "mass balance" approach outlined by the standard.
ISCC+ is a globally recognized standard applicable across multiple sectors—including bio-based and recycled materials, food, and the chemical industry—and ensures reduced CO2 emissions, lower environmental impact, adherence to circular economy principles, enhanced social and environmental responsibility, as well as transparency and traceability of raw materials.
This strategic choice, which improves operational efficiency while addressing the growing demand for responsible sourcing from brands and industrial partners, sets a benchmark for sustainable innovation across the sector. It marks another significant milestone in the company’s sustainability journey, which has already seen key initiatives such as the development of Stracciatella technology—designed to significantly reduce material-related emissions and CO2—and the installation of a photovoltaic plant at the Italian facility, covering up to 40% of the site’s energy requirements.
Year after year, Selle Royal Group reaffirms its commitment to reducing environmental impacts within its ESG pathway. For more details, see the company’s Sustainability Report.
