LAINBIO Research
Selle Royal Group places particular emphasis on health and well-being in the workplace. In this context, the company has encouraged its employees to voluntarily participate in LAINBIO – Work and Biological Aging, a project coordinated by the BioAgingLab at the University of Padua, in collaboration with the company’s occupational health physician. LAINBIO represents one of the first Italian models integrating health surveillance, multidimensional well-being assessment, and biomarkers of biological aging.
The initiative also aims to identify both risk and protective factors, contributing to the development of an innovative model of advanced health surveillance to support personalized interventions and strategies that promote active working longevity. The research outcomes are presented in a report containing anonymized and aggregated data describing the health status and biological aging of the employee sample, while providing each participating worker with an individual profile of their health status based on advanced indicators.
The LAINBIO project aligns with the strategic objectives of well-being promotion defined in the 2020–2025 National Prevention Plan and conforms to international recommendations for age-friendly workplaces promoted by the International Labour Organization.
Through this initiative, Selle Royal Group reaffirms its commitment to fostering sustainable and inclusive work environments, protecting employee health, and supporting cutting-edge research initiatives developed in collaboration with local academic stakeholders.
