Business Partners’ Code of Conduct
At Selle Royal Group, we believe that by partnering with all the actors of our value chain we can foster positive change for our planet and our society. For this reason, starting from 2023, we ask our suppliers to sign our Code of Conduct.
It’s a document that recaps the fundamental principles that guide us as a Group. It was written following the social standards of our industry, including the Code of Conduct by the World Federation of Sporting Goods Industries (WFSGI), whose principles are based on the conventions of the International Labour Organization (ILO), on the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, and on internationally accepted occupational health and safety standards.
By signing it, our partners commit to respecting a series of norms about: the management of human resources (People), for instance health & safety on the workplace, regular employment conditions and the promotion of diversity, equity and inclusion; the safeguarding of the environment (Planet), through eco-design, sustainable production and the correct disposal of waste; Participation, through projects aimed at engaging the stakeholders and supporting both local and global communities. The rules also aim to facilitate a better and more transparent ESG governance.
In the future, we will ask our suppliers to participate in surveys and audits that will allow us to evaluate their performance in the areas highlighted by the Code of Conduct and to cooperate in the corrective action plans that will be deemed necessary to improve it.
The ultimate goal of our Code of Conduct is building a collaborative path and a shared governance that will allow us to evolve with our partners, following the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
