In April, a new photovoltaic plant was successfully installed at our Italian headquarters. Capable of generating an output of 1,525 MWh/year, it will supply almost 40 percent of our current average needs with clean energy. According to estimates, this will result in saving an average of 1,169.75 tons of CO2 eq/year.

The new photovoltaic plant is one of the concrete actions we have taken to reduce our emissions, particularly the indirect ones (Scope 2), which for Selle Royal Group amount to six times the direct production emissions, and depend for 21% on the electricity of the Italian site.

Our commitment is to halve our emissions by 2030, through a shared path which has already involved several company departments- from production to supply chain – this year. This journey will incorporate activities related to production technologies and energy management.
